Help & FAQs
How do I convert an image?+

Add images, choose an output format and select Convert images. Your results open on a separate page with previews, individual downloads and a ZIP. Open the options for quality, backgrounds or icon sizes.

Are my images uploaded?+

No. Conversion runs in your browser. Files are saved temporarily on this device to open your result page and restore it after a refresh. Batches expire after one hour of inactivity and expired batches are removed on your next visit. Clear the batch from the result page at any time.

Which image formats can I use?+

Import still JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, SVG, BMP or ICO. Export JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP or ICO. HEIC/HEIF and SVG are input-only. TIFF, GIF, RAW and animated images are not supported.

Will converting reduce the file size?+

Sometimes. The result depends on the source, output format and quality. PNG may be larger than JPG or WebP. We show the actual size of each result so you can decide.

What happens to transparency and metadata?+

PNG, WebP, AVIF and ICO can retain transparency. JPG and 24-bit BMP replace transparent pixels with your background color. Conversion re-encodes the picture: metadata, color profiles and animation are not preserved.

How do HEIC, SVG and ICO conversions work?+

HEIC/HEIF converts the primary or first photo; motion and depth data are not retained. SVG is rasterized and must be static and self-contained, without scripts or external resources. ICO exports resize to your selected square sizes with transparent padding; ICO input uses the largest frame.

Are there any limits?+

Each batch can contain up to 20 images, 25 MB per image and 100 MB of input files in total. Individual images must be no larger than 24 megapixels or 12,000 pixels on either side. Converted output is limited to 150 MB per batch to keep browser memory manageable.
