Your pictures stay yours.

Privacy, in plain English.

Image processing.

Selected image files, previews and converted results are processed locally in your browser. The converter does not upload image files or image contents to an application server. To support a separate result page, this website temporarily stores selected files, settings, previews and results in your browser’s IndexedDB storage. A random batch identifier in the URL fragment and a browser-tab identifier in session storage link the pages. Filenames and image contents are not placed in page URLs or sent to our server.

Temporary files.

A batch expires after one hour without a local batch update. Expired records are deleted when you next use the converter or open a result page; deletion does not run while the website is closed. Use Clear local batch on the result page to remove its stored images and results immediately. Clearing site data in your browser also removes them. A result link alone does not give another device access to your files. Downloads are saved separately using your browser’s download controls.

Website requests.

Your browser requests the website’s HTML, scripts, styles and, when needed, the locally hosted image codecs. These requests do not include your selected images. The hosting provider receives ordinary request information such as IP address and browser headers.

Website analytics.

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-D1VFLJX3RD) to understand visits to this website. Your browser loads the Google tag from googletagmanager.com and sends usage information to Google, such as pages visited, referral source, browser and device information. Google may use analytics cookies to distinguish visits and receives ordinary connection information, including your IP address.

The integration removes URL fragments, including local batch identifiers, from analytics page URLs and referrers. We do not attach image contents, filenames, previews or conversion settings to analytics events. Image processing and temporary image storage remain on your device.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Browser privacy settings, tracking protection and content blockers can affect analytics collection.

Advertising.

We use Google Ad Manager to request and display clearly labelled advertisements. Your browser loads Google Publisher Tag from securepubads.g.doubleclick.net and may contact Google and its advertising partners. They may receive ordinary connection and ad-interaction information, such as IP address, browser and device information, page context, impressions and ad interactions. Advertising services may use cookies or local storage, subject to applicable consent and browser settings.

We do not attach your image files, filenames, previews or conversion settings to ad requests. Ads do not unlock conversion or downloads. Empty result pages and error pages do not request advertisements. Unfilled inline advertisements are removed immediately, and their reserved space is removed if loading does not finish within eight seconds of a request. Google-managed bottom anchor ads and navigation interstitials use Google’s own containers and close controls. Interstitials may appear during eligible navigation to a conversion or format page, then continue to the selected page when closed. They are not required for downloading your files. Display depends on ad availability, supported devices and Google frequency controls. Learn about Google advertising technologies and manage your preferences in My Ad Center. Where a consent message is provided, you can use its controls to accept, decline or change choices. Browser privacy controls can also restrict cookies and tracking.
